Live AB Sky Camera: 180-degree view

Welcome to the Calgary Sky Camera. Enjoy this 180 degree view of the north sky. This camera is a live view of current sky conditions just north of the Calgary airport YYC. The camera is set to refresh every few minutes. During an aurora event, the camera will refresh more frequently. This camera will display a color image in and day and night. This view is a representation of how the sky looks with the naked eye. Any faint auroras in this image will be appear similar in the same completely dark conditions. Using an iPhone or relatively new smart phone will show more vibrant northern lights as they as they have very sensitive sensors and long shutter speeds. Happy chasing!
